Since 2010 I am a research director.
Since 2005 I can supervise PhD students.

My work has mainly foccused on aquatic microbial and viral ecology, especially in large lakes.

Research scientist
I was recruited as a young researcher in 2001 and arrived in Thonon-les-Bains to work on cyanobacterial blooms.
During this period, I participated actively to integrate microbial compartments such as the viruses, archaea, bacteria and picoplankton in the research themes of the lab.

Post-Doc
During my post-doc in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Bergen, (Norway), I worked on the ecology of marine viruses infecting microalgae.

During my PhD work, my research dealt with the dynamics of the marine picoplankton, with a foccus on both cultured and natural Prochlorococcus and Synechococcus populations.
